20th Annual Walk the Walk for Mental Health — Event Photography | The Community House, Hinsdale
On Sunday, May 17, 2026, Ogi Optics had the honor of photographing the 20th Annual Walk the Walk for Mental Health at The Community House in Hinsdale, Illinois. This one-mile color walk raised funds to provide mental health care and therapy services for those who cannot afford it — and it was one of the most meaningful shoots we have had the privilege of being part of.
About the Event
The Walk the Walk for Mental Health is an annual fundraiser hosted by The Community House at 415 W. 8th Street in Hinsdale, Illinois. The event brings together families, children, community members, and sponsors for a one-mile color walk through the streets of Hinsdale — with stations set up along the route where participants are doused in colored chalk powder. All proceeds benefit The Counseling Center at The Community House, helping to ensure that mental health care is accessible to everyone in the community regardless of financial situation.
The 2026 event marked the 20th anniversary of this beloved community tradition — and the energy, color, and emotion of the day made for some truly memorable photography.

Why Event Photography Matters
Events like Walk the Walk deserve to be documented at the highest level — not just for the organization's marketing and archives, but for the participants who showed up to support something bigger than themselves. Professional event photography captures the emotion, the energy, and the human moments that phone cameras simply miss.
At Ogi Optics we are proud to support organizations and causes that make a real difference in the community. If your organization has an upcoming event in the Chicagoland area that deserves professional coverage, we would love to be there.
