Real Estate Photography in Mount Prospect, IL
Based here. Not driving in from the city.
Ogi Optics is headquartered in Mount Prospect, so a 9 a.m. shoot doesn't start with an hour on the Kennedy. Photos are back in your inbox in 24 hours. Video within 48.
Why listing photos matter more here than they did last year
Mount Prospect is still a strong market. Half of homes sold above list price over the last three months, and the median hit $469,689, up 6.7% year over year.
But homes are sitting about a week longer than they were a year ago: 46 days now versus 39. That gap is where presentation starts to count. When everything sold in two weeks, photos barely mattered. At 46 days, a listing has to hold attention through a lot more scrolling.

There's a second reason, and it has nothing to do with the buyer. 78% of sellers say they're more likely to hire an agent who offers high-resolution photography, and 59% hire the first agent they talk to. Your photos aren't only selling the house. They're winning you the appointment.

What Mount Prospect homes need
The housing stock here is mostly mid-century: ranches, split-levels, and 1960s and 70s colonials, with newer construction filling in downtown and around the edges. That shapes the shoot.
Split-levels photograph badly on a phone. The half-flights read as cramped unless they're shot wide and level, from the right height. It's the most common thing I fix.
Mature trees mean exterior timing matters. The canopy on the older streets throws heavy shade by mid-afternoon. Exteriors get shot when the light works, not when the schedule is convenient.
Smaller lots need the drone. Six aerials are in every package, including the $200 one. On a 50-foot lot, the aerial is what shows the yard, the garage, and how close the Metra actually is.
Finished basements are half the value and half the difficulty. Low ceilings, mixed lighting, no windows. Bracketed exposures, not flash.

Questions Mount Prospect agents ask
How fast do you deliver photos and video?
Standard turnaround is 24 hours for photos and within 48 hours for video.
Do I need to be there for the shoot?
No. Most agents give me lockbox access and get the gallery the next morning. If you would rather walk it with me, that works too. Most listings take 60 to 90 minutes.
Is drone included or extra?
Included. Six aerial photos come with every package, including Base at $200. Most photographers charge $99 or more for that separately.
Do you shoot outside Mount Prospect?
Yes. Arlington Heights, Des Plaines, Palatine, Prospect Heights, Park Ridge, Schaumburg, Elk Grove Village, Buffalo Grove, Rolling Meadows and the rest of Chicagoland. No travel fee within about 45 minutes of Mount Prospect; past that, a travel fee based on how far.
What about virtually staged or edited photos?
Every digitally altered image is labeled, and you get the untouched original alongside it. That keeps you clean on disclosure and lets you use the enhanced version where it is allowed.
Who actually shows up?
Me. Ogi Optics is owner-operated, so it is the same photographer on every shoot.
