Real Estate Photography in Park Ridge, IL
Park Ridge listings do not sell on square footage. They sell on the street, the brick, the mature trees, and the fact that a buyer moving out of the city can get to O'Hare in about ten minutes and still have a backyard. Photos either carry that or they flatten it.
We're Ogi Optics, a real estate and small business media company based in Mount Prospect. Park Ridge is roughly twenty minutes from our door, so it's a regular stop on the schedule, not a special trip. We've shot listings on both sides of town, a brick two-story in South Park and a single family home right on Northwest Highway, and the two jobs looked nothing alike. That's most of what this page is about.
The housing stock decides the shot list
Most of Park Ridge was built before 1960, and it shows in the best way. Brick Georgians and Colonial Revivals, Tudors with steep rooflines, solid prewar bungalows, a lot of oak trim and hardwood that was never ripped out. Mixed in with that you have teardown rebuilds on the same 50-foot lots and newer condo and townhome buildings around Uptown and the Metra stations.
That mix changes how we shoot. An older home with original oak doors, trim and floors needs careful white balance and bracketing, or the wood goes orange and the whole house looks dated in photos when it isn't. A 2020 rebuild has the opposite problem to solve: big windows blowing out against a gray spring sky. The vintage homes also tend to have smaller, more defined rooms, so wide angles have to be handled with restraint. Over-widening a 12x14 dining room is the fastest way to lose a buyer's trust at the showing.
Vacant teardown-rebuilds get their own approach. With no furniture to set scale, we lean harder on floor plans and on exterior and drone coverage so a buyer can read the lot, the setback, and how much yard is actually left.
South Park, Country Club, Uptown and the streets off Northwest Highway
Park Ridge is small enough to walk and specific enough that agents name the pocket in the listing remarks. We shoot across all of them:
South Park — tree-lined streets, brick two-stories, strong family-buyer demand. This is where we shot 1236 S Brophy Ave.
Country Club — larger lots and larger homes on the west side, where the photo count usually needs to go up.
Old Park Ridge and Uptown — the historic core, the Pickwick, and the condo and townhome inventory near the Metra.
Cumberland Green, Northwest Park and the Dee Road side — mid-century ranches and splits, plus a steady run of rebuilds.
The Edison Park border — where Park Ridge listings compete directly against city listings, and the suburban yard is the whole argument.
Naming the neighborhood in a listing matters for search. Shooting it properly is what makes the neighborhood claim hold up when the buyer clicks.
Two Park Ridge shoots, two different jobs
1236 S Brophy Ave was a Pro package: a four-bedroom, three-bath brick two-story just over 2,350 square feet with a finished basement, oak hardwood, solid oak doors and trim, and a detached two-car garage, listed by Aga Galus. That one got the full treatment, including listing photography, a property walkthrough, a pro cinematic video, drone and a floor plan. The interiors were the sell. The aerials existed to show the street and the tree canopy, because the street is a real part of what a South Park buyer is paying for. You can see the set in the 1236 S Brophy Ave project post.
1216 N Northwest Hwy was the opposite build. Brick single family home listed by Paul Froiland and Michelle Russell, shot with photography, drone and a floor plan. On a busy road the drone does work the ground camera can't: it shows the depth of the lot, the detached garage, the backyard, and how much green is actually behind the house. The rear deck frame did more for that listing than any front elevation could. The full set is in the 1216 N Northwest Hwy project post.
Same town, same price tier of buyer, completely different coverage plan. That's the part an agent is actually buying.
What the Park Ridge market looks like right now
Park Ridge is competitive, and it has been all year. Redfin put the median sale price at $665,000 in August 2026, up 12.7% year over year, with 147 homes sold that month, a median 45 days on market, and 42.9% of homes selling above list price. Statewide, Illinois REALTORS reported 12,103 closed sales in August 2026, down 4.6% from a year earlier.
So the state slowed and Park Ridge didn't. That cuts both ways for a listing. Buyers are active, but they're also comparing your listing against 40-odd others in the same week on the same phone screen. The first three photos decide whether yours gets saved or scrolled past.

Travel and larger properties
We're based in Mount Prospect and shoot across Chicagoland. Anything within about 45 minutes has no travel fee. Past that there's a travel fee depending on how far. Larger properties need more photos and more time on site, so those are quoted with the extra coverage included. Send us the address and we'll give you the number before anything is booked.
Park Ridge sits well inside that 45-minute radius, so there's no travel fee on a Park Ridge shoot.
Turnaround
Photos in 24 hours, video within 48 hours. We build the schedule around listing deadlines, so if you're shooting Thursday for a Friday launch, say so when you book and we'll put you in a slot that makes it.
Park Ridge FAQ
Do you cover all of Park Ridge? Yes. South Park, Country Club, Uptown, Cumberland Green, Northwest Park, the Dee Road side and the Edison Park border. We also shoot the neighboring suburbs, including Des Plaines, so a multi-listing week can be scheduled in one run.
Can you fly a drone in Park Ridge with O'Hare right there? Park Ridge sits under controlled airspace, so drone work there has to be authorized through the FAA's LAANC system before the flight, and some pockets near the airport are tighter than others. Send the address when you book and we'll confirm what can be flown before the shoot day rather than finding out on site.
How fast do you deliver photos and video? Standard turnaround is 24 hours for photos and within 48 hours for video.
My listing is a vacant rebuild with no furniture. Is the Pro package worth it? Usually not. Vacant homes photograph fine, but the walkthrough and cinematic video have less to work with. Base or Plus with a floor plan and solid drone coverage is normally the better spend, and we'll tell you that before you book rather than after. Virtual staging is available if the empty rooms are the problem.
